“November 9” by Colleen Hoover has been on my list to read for quite a while.
I finally decided to bite the bullet and give it a read – and I’m so glad I did!
I loved the premise of this novel!
Fallon and Ben meet each other by chance (or is it) on November 9th – the anniversary of the day Fallon’s acting career was ended thanks to a freak fire accident.
She was burned on so much of her body, she was told she’d never act.
But she wanted to test her limits by moving to New York to see if Broadway would be more forgiving than Hollywood.
However, right before her big move, she meets Ben – a guy who makes her feel seen.
And in a good way.
However, Fallon had promised her mother that she wouldn’t fall in love before she was 23 – so even though the two of them hit it off, Fallon goes through with her plans and moves.
But not before they make a plan to see each other every November 9th from now until her 23rd birthday (5 years).
The book follows the two of them through the years and their meetups.
There are times you’re rooting for the two of them and other times when you’re sure things are about to fall apart.
But one thing’s for sure, this book is worth the read!
In conclusion, if you’d like to read a fast-paced love story with a unique premise, “November 9” is definitely for you. Once again Colleen Hoover proves she knows her craft and can pull out all the stops.
