Of the three hockey books, “Those Three Little Words” by Meghan Quinn is by far my favorite.
This one follows the love story of Eli and Penny – Pacey’s sister from “Kiss and Don’t Tell.”
So, right away, we find out that Eli had the hots for Pacey’s sister right out of the gate, but he’s a player and was told specifically from Pacey to stay away from his sister.
But then, on Eli’s birthday (also Valentine’s Day), he runs into Penny at the bar.
She gets roped into a conversation with him and then ditched by her best friend.
What ensues is a one night stand neither of them were going to fess up to. Until… Penny found out she was pregnant.
Forced to move in with Penny (by Pacey) to take care of her during the pregnancy, Eli starts to develop more than simple lust vibes for the woman who will become the mother of his first child.
Penny is up and down with the pregnancy, but she’s also sure about one thing: Eli will never be able to fess up to loving anyone–especially her.
But as time goes on, their bond grows and they end up falling head over heels for one another.
The dynamic between the two is great. Sweet, sexy, silly, and all the things in between.
If you’re looking for a heartwarming read that ends with that wonderful happy ever after, you won’t be disappointed with “Those Three Little Words.”
